Pet Vaccines in Cary
Your pet’s shots keep the worst symptoms at bay.

Vaccinations to Raise Pets’ Immunity
Vaccines protect pets from common and sometimes life-threatening diseases. Green Level Animal Hospital has a full range of vaccinations for both dogs and cats. By staying up-to-date on vaccinations, you not only safeguard your pet’s health but also help prevent the spread of diseases within the community. Our staff will guide you through your pet’s vaccination schedule and answer any questions you may have.
Vaccine safety in all of our shots.
Vaccines work by stimulating your pet’s immune system to build defenses against specific diseases, so if they are ever exposed, their body is ready to fight off the infection. Animal vaccines have been rigorously tested for safety and efficacy, and at Green Level Animal Hospital, we only use pet vaccinations that meet the highest standards. While some pets may experience mild side effects like temporary soreness or slight lethargy, the benefits of immunizations far outweigh any minimal risks.
Our veterinarians follow the latest veterinary guidelines so that your pet receives the necessary shots at the appropriate times, providing them with lifelong protection against harmful diseases. If you have a puppy or kitten, we will discuss their pet vaccine schedule with you so that we can build an appropriate plan. We are also happy to answer any questions about shots for those with adult or senior pets.

Cat vaccines are essential protection for feline companions.
Vaccinating your cat maintains their health and protects them from dangerous illnesses. All cats should receive core cat vaccinations, including indoor cats. These shots are the Rabies vaccine and the FVRCP vaccine, which protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. These diseases can be severe and even fatal, especially for unvaccinated cats.
For outdoor cats or those exposed to other felines at home or during boarding, we may recommend additional cat vaccines such as Feline Leukemia (FeLV), Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Chlamydophila felis, and Bordetella (kennel cough). Our veterinarians will determine the right vaccination schedule for your cat based on their risk factors.

Dog vaccines keep your canine protected.
Dogs are exposed to many diseases, both in daily life and when they come into contact with other dogs. Every canine should receive core dog vaccinations, including the Rabies vaccine and the DAPP or DHPP vaccine, which protects against distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza.
Depending on your dog’s lifestyle, we may also recommend additional dog vaccines, such as the Bordetella vaccine to protect against kennel cough or the Leptospirosis shot, which guards against a bacterial infection that can be transmitted through contaminated water or wildlife. Canine Influenza may also be suggested when that particular disease is going around the local community. Our goal is to provide your dog with the right level of protection based on their individual needs, keeping them safe when they are enjoying a walk in the park or playing with other pets.
