Surgeries with a Skilled Veterinarian

The idea of surgery can be stressful for pet owners. Green Level Animal Hospital aims to lessen the anxiety with thorough, compassionate care before, during, and after any procedure. Our experienced staff make your pet’s safety and comfort a priority when they are undergoing surgery. We perform soft-tissue pet surgeries in our state-of-the-art facility in Cary, NC, using advanced techniques for optimal outcomes.

Every cat or dog surgery starts with a surgical consultation.

Before any pet surgery is scheduled, our staff will set up a surgical consultation. This exam begins with a full physical assessment of your pet’s overall health to identify any potential risks. We will also perform preoperative blood work to check whether your pet is healthy enough for anesthesia and the procedure itself.

Our veterinarians will discuss all available treatment options with you, answering any questions or concerns you may have. We believe in a collaborative approach to care, and we want to make sure that surgery is the right choice for your pet’s specific condition before moving forward.

Advanced procedures may use a veterinary surgical laser.

For certain procedures, our veterinarians use a surgical laser.

This technology offers several advantages over traditional surgical methods. A veterinary surgical laser uses a focused beam of light to make incisions, which helps to reduce bleeding, minimize pain, and decrease the risk of infection. This advanced technology allows for greater precision during surgery, leading to quicker recovery times and less discomfort for your pet. While not all procedures require the use of a surgical laser, we will recommend its use for specific surgeries where it can provide the most benefit to your pet’s health and recovery.

It is the day of your pet’s surgery.

On the day of your pet’s surgery, you will drop them off in the morning at a time arranged during your consultation. Our staff will be there to answer any last-minute questions you may have. Your companion will be prepped for surgery and then monitored throughout. We will call you as soon as the procedure is complete to let you know how everything went.

After surgery, your pet will be gently awoken from anesthesia. We will provide you with detailed post-operative instructions at pick-up to help your pet recover comfortably. If necessary, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to check on your pet’s healing, or we may ask you to send a picture of the incision site so we can monitor their progress remotely.
