Gently Guiding Their Final Time

It is difficult to face the challenges of your pet’s declining health. Our compassionate staff at Green Level Animal Hospital is here to guide you through every step of your pet’s end-of-life care. Your pet deserves comfort, dignity, and support during this emotional time. Our veterinarians will help you make informed decisions about what is best for your loving companion.

Quality-of-life exams focus on overall wellness.

As pets age or face chronic health conditions, it can be hard to determine when it is time to make tough decisions about their care. During quality-of-life exams, a veterinarian will assess your pet’s overall health, comfort, and ability to enjoy life. We will look at factors such as mobility, appetite, pain levels, and behavior changes to help you determine the best course of action for your pet’s well-being.

Whether your pet requires adjustments to their current care plan, increased pain management, or if it is time to consider more serious decisions, we want to provide you with the information and support you need to make the right choice for your cat or dog.

Hospice care keeps your pet comfortable.

For pets with chronic or terminal conditions, we can suggest a hospice treatment plan to manage pain and improve the quality of life during their remaining time. Hospice, also called palliative care, focuses on making your pet as comfortable as possible, with a strong emphasis on pain management and relieving symptoms. Our staff will create a realistic plan that may include medications to control pain, tips for improving their daily life at home, and advice on how to provide day-to-day care during this challenging time. Your pet’s final days can be filled with love, comfort, and dignity while navigating the emotional aspects of caring for a pet at the end of life.

Passing on with compassionate euthanasia and cremation.

When the time comes to say goodbye, we will support you through the process of pet euthanasia with compassion and understanding. Euthanasia is a peaceful and painless way to end suffering, and we strive to make the experience as gentle as we can for both you and your pet. You are welcome to stay with your pet during the procedure and take the time you need.

In addition to euthanasia, we offer cremation services through a cremation partner. If you prefer, we can walk you through your options ahead of your appointment, so you do not need to worry about deciding on these final arrangements the same day.
